The 21st Annual National Design competition is an annual event organized by the Textile Museum in collaboration with the Royal Textile Academy to promote the unique arts and crafts of Bhutan under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Mother Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck.The National Design Competition has three categories of competition: Kira, Gho and Embroidery. The price winning entries will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

The 19th Annual National Design competition is an annual event organized by the Textile Museum in collaboration with the Royal Textile Academy to promote the unique arts and crafts of Bhutan under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Mother Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck. The National Design Competition has three categories of competition: Kira, Gho and Embroidery. The price winning entries will be awarded with cash prizes and certificates. Each category has three prizes Nu: 120,000, Nu: 65,000, Nu: 32,500 each for the top three entries. This year 2020-2021, there were 63 entries in Kira Category, 26 entries in Gho category and 10 entries in Embroidery category.
The winners of the National Design Competition will be announced on 16th march 2021.
